Wordless Wednesday
Ok, so there are still words involved.

You know what makes me happy, besides these adorable little guys? The fact that it is (finally) still light out when my prince charming comes home from work.
I really, REALLY, really HATE winter!
But having a little more sunlight in my day is helping, just a little.

Birthday weekend
Can you tell how old I am? Here's a hint it is displayed in part slash marks and part roman numerals. My hubby is that creative :o) I had an awesome Birthday weekend, relaxing and my men made me feel special. Friday night I was treated on a date with my husband. Dinner-Alba: Movie, The Fighter. Both were great! Came home to a house full of babysitters (my sisters and cousin) who also made me a birthday cake.
Saturday, my actual birthday I got up with the boys (Andy was already gone at a meeting) and was making breakfast. Dane informed me that Rachel and Tessha made a birthday cake, then said "Happy Birthday to you, Mommy." How sweet of him :o)
Later, after I picked up my free birthday Caribou Coffee drink, I headed out to an awesome open house with some great handmade items, it was hard to pick out only a few things to purchase, and I am still thinking about the yellow pillow I almost snagged. The rest of the day was spent with my boys just enjoying the day. 0h yeah and I ordered a pair of jeans with a 37" inseam! I get really excited about long jeans that can actually touch the floor. Thirty-seven inches is a bit excessive even with heels and I have a feeling I will be exchanging them, but while I was ordering them they were out of the length I wanted and without thinking I ordered the 37" inch pair, sooo I have a feeling these are going to go all the way to my toes, but I am anxious to try them on.

land of pretend
I figured it would happen sometime. Dane is starting to figure out how to pretend play. And yesterday he was been pretending to be a baby. Sucking on a pacifier, giving himself tummy time and in general acting like his example of being a baby. Kinda cute/funny, though the most annoying part was his only example of babyhood is lots of crying. So as you can imagine there was lots of (fake) whining and crying. For instance I walked into the room to find him doing tummy time and he was laying there balancing on his stomach, chest and legs off the floor whining and fussy.
4 months
Has it already been four months? Sometimes in a five minute span he can seem so big to me and yet so small and just recently born all at the same time. He is still pretty small and new yet September seems so long ago, like Cade has been around forever. The boys are starting to enjoy each other a little more. He has started rolling over from his tummy to his back and it won't be too much longer and he will be rolling every where. He is getting more giggly and full of squeals everyday. He is still sensitive and likes things a certain way. He usually needs my hand on his face in order to fall asleep. Lately he has been squirming his swaddled self around in his crib until his face is up against his little stuffed monkey, or pressed up uncomfortably against the crib bars. I am debating on putting up a crib bumper even though now is when they should be coming off.
